Can anyone shed any light on this manufacturer? This box mill bears a plate showing the maker to be E & T Clark, but I have been unable to find any records of this manufacturer at all.

Mystery solved. The Wolverhampton Registers of Rate Payers for 1825 and 1827 include the assessment of Edward & Thomas Clark, of Horseley Fields. Although no occupation is given, Bridgen's Wolverhampton Directory of 1833 shows that E&T Clark were later to trade as "Thos. Clark", who in turn became T & C Clark & Co. | |
