Brief notes on the history of mill-making added

I've added some brief notes on the history of coffee-mill making in Wolverhampton to the front page, and updated my profile.

Today I also discovered that the neighbouring town of Bilston also manufactured coffee-mills: some further research is needed into this.

Appearing at Penn Local History Fair

"A Forgotten Industry" will be appearing at the Penn Local History Fair on 6 and 7 July 2014.

The fair will be held at Penn United Reform Church, 333 Penn Rd, Wolverhampton, WV4 5QF and is open  from 10.00 am - 8.00 pm on Friday 6 June and from  9.00 am - 4.00 pm on Saturday 7 June.

Entrance to the fair is free.

 




Wolverhampton Local History Symposium 2014

I presented a paper on "A Forgotten Industry" at the Wolverhampton Local History Symposium on 22 February, and am delighted (and indeed astonished) to learn that it has been chosen as the 2014 bursary winner.
